For those who like to keep active in the great outdoors, Duluth is home to seven city-run public parks. Many have top quality recreational facilities for those who enjoy playing tennis, soccer or basketball. Swimming is available only four miles from city hall at West Gwinnett Aquatic Center. If you want to take your four-legged friend for some exercise, there’s no better spot than the Chattapoochee Dog Park.
 
Duluth is home to an amazing civic center in the Infinite Energy Center. (formerly known as the Gwinnett Civic and Cultural Center) This multi-purpose facility is a 90-acre lakefront campus hosts several top-tier events from concerts, performances, meetings, trade shows, conventions, banquets, and celebrations. 
 
Schools in Duluth are administered through the Gwinnett County School District. The district is the largest school system in Georgia, serving more than 178,000 students. Some of the highest rated schools in Suwannee are: River Trail Middle School, Chattahoochee Elementary School, and Hull Middle School.
 
As part of its mission statement, Duluth sets out to create a healthy, safe, and welcoming community. Given the amount of recognition it has received in recent years for all around community excellence, it is clear they are succeeding in their mission.
